ABOUT THE ARTIST

Pedro Gamero is an internationally recognized, award-winning artist with over 25 years of experience. He is a native of Madrid, Spain and has recently relocated to Northern California where he is greatly inspired by the beautiful surroundings and its people.

Pedro’s painting style is in the realist school of art, and his mediums are usually oil on canvas or charcoal on paper. Pedro excels at figure and faces and has painted many commissioned portraits in both Spain and the U.S. He was formerly represented in the U.S. by the Portrait Brokers of America gallery, when he lived in Atlanta, Georgia, for a few years and had many prestigious clients such as top Coca Cola executives and their families. In 2002, he won a coveted award from the Portrait Society of Atlanta for his portrait, “Adrianne Lodiss”, which was subsequently exhibited at the Marietta Cobb Museum in Atlanta.

Pedro has been a painter for his entire professional career, attending Circulo Bellas Artes in Madrid, teaching art, working quite successfully as a freelance illustrator and finally as a fine artist. He is quite happy as a portrait artist, although he is inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Northern California. Currently, Pedro is painting a series of “wine country” oils in his Sonoma County studio and is planning a series of nude figure oils.

Pedro is also very involved in table tennis. He has competed in Spain and has won several competitions in the U.S. He also loves to cook Spanish cuisine.
